Vinod residence is positioned in a residential zone in Coimbatore, with a raw yet futuristic parametric façade. Privacy being the most vital factor, the façade gets a rustic double skin. It brings out the dynamic side of the bricks.
This Introverted house cuts down the visual interaction with the outside, but it opens up spaces towards the inside into many pocket courts on various levels. It is a balanced mix of contemporary and traditional architecture, conceiving new values that respond to regionalism and a new future.
Principal Architect Murali Murugan explains the concept behind this beautiful house with a brick façade that creates a play of lights inside the house.

Ventilation and safety of the house is so attractive..The client seems given the freedom to the Architect and the house speaks it..
THIS is architecture. It's honest, it ventilates, it provides shelter, it defines a place, accommodate memories and serves purpose. It is the finest parametric architecture. It is honest. Murali and Tamil Nadu gave us one of the finest lessons of architecture. I want to see more of this everywhere. It's happening. This must become a world wide philosophy of architecture.
This is how you teach people that architects are needed in our society like doctors, engineers, designers, drafters and so on.
One of the most beautiful houses. Wish I could visit and see this architectural genius in person.

if they can afford this house means they can afford maintenance as well....
